But J.Lo’s not just excited about her own return to the stage. She’s also deeply honored to pay tribute to Janet Jackson, who’ll be receiving the Icon Award during the ceremony.
“I’ve been a fan of hers for so many years,” Jennifer said. “I had the chance to work with her early in my career as a dancer. She’s incredible and has influenced me so much.”
Jennifer is also looking forward to another iconic moment: Gloria Estefan’s first AMA performance in over 30 years, celebrating five decades in music.
“Gloria is such a pioneer for Latin music,” J.Lo noted. “Now, Latin music is having probably its biggest global moment ever, so it’s the perfect time to honor someone like her.”
With powerhouse performances and heartfelt tributes on deck, this year’s American Music Awards are shaping up to be unforgettable—and Jennifer Lopez is right at the heart of it.
