Located right in the heart of one of the most beautiful (and honestly, most desirable) zip codes in the country, The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe has always been a local favorite — and now, it’s become one of mine too.
Originally opened back in 1924, The Inn was the go-to weekend escape for Hollywood legends like Charlie Chaplin and Bing Crosby. Fast-forward to today, it just wrapped up a $42 million renovation, and somehow manages to blend modern luxury with that timeless old-world charm it’s always been known for.
How to Leverage Inflation to Get a Pay Raise
We didn’t have time for an overnight stay this trip, but when my mom, sister, and I were planning our annual birthdaycation in San Diego, The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe was an easy pick. Every year, we set one very important rule: the spot must have an amazing spa — and we couldn’t wait to check out the Inn’s brand-new Mila Moursi Spa.

Mila Moursi, who trained under the legendary French skincare expert Dr. Louis Renaud, has been a huge name in skincare since she opened her Institute in Los Angeles in 1981. (If you’ve ever admired the skin of Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, or Jane Fonda, you’ve probably seen her magic.) Her partnership with The Inn is actually her first hotel collab, so we knew we were in for something really special. We were basically counting down the minutes until we could throw on our robes and settle in for some serious pampering.

We made our way to Lilian’s, the Inn’s gorgeous new restaurant.
(And trust me, the patio alone is reason enough to visit.)
